My flight SG 3252 was scheduled to depart at 1125 from Calicut to Chennai. It was delayed for more than 05 hours. Me and my wife had attended some function in evening and later go to PortBlair by other flight. Last flight from Calicut leaves at 1500. Upto 1420 SpiceJet staff were just increasing delayed time by a hour. Initially it was made 1240 then 1340 then 1440. At 1420 on asking where is flight they told it is still in Bangalore due to some technical problem. Due to our commitments and onward journey we could not afford to cancel the flight. Finally we booked ticket at higher price to Chennai via Mumbai through last scheduled flight from Calicut ( Jetairways). A complaint was lodged to SpiceJet through e-mail ( reference no. – 01717935 ) but they just returned the full refund ( that has not been credited to our bank account, same will be done in next seven working days)
Ground staff said if you want to go by other flight you may but we will not transfer you in other flight till we receive confirmation that flight is cancelled. Even though you miss your connnecting flight. Spice jet shall pay the extra money which I had to spent to meet my commitments and suffering. My PNR for SpiceJet flight SG 3252 from Calicut to Chennai on 16 Dec 17. I am a GOI employee and this was my LTC ticket. Since I have travelled through Mumbai to Chennai. I can not claim the amount incurred to me. The SpiceJet shall reimburse me my amount.
