Cancellation fee charged on cancelled flight Easemytrip

I had booked Round trip Flight tickets for my wife for MAA to HYD on Easemytrip through Smartbuy app for 23-5-22 & 31-5-22. Out of the 2 flights MAA HYD was on Air Asia 15-517 flight which Air Asia suddenly cancelled on 20-5-22 and refunded the full fare to Easemytrip. I contacted Easemytrip for my full refund but they cancelled the ticket MAA HYD with Cancellation charges Rs.300 and approved to refund only after deducting Convenience Fee of Rs.225 and Cancellation Fee of Rs.300.

I called them and sent Emails pointing out that Air Asia is their Airline partners who Cancelled the flight so they can not charge me Cancellation Fee and Convenience Fee but they are unwilling to refund. Please inform me if I am incorrect in my opinion.
