I have availed a service from Urban Company for repairing of my 43” TCL LED TV for screen not showing (black screen) and only sound coming.
The company technician visited and took my LED TV with no physical damage at the time of handing over without any cover or packing on a two wheeler for repairing.
After 4-5 days he informed that one black spot is appearing on the lower right corner of the screen and cannot be repaired. In case you require it to be repaired then whole screen needs to be changed. Since it was a big amount, I asked him to repair the same with black spot, as it will not matter in viewing, since it’s appearing on one corner.
He came back and installed the television and we paid him accordingly for Rs. 3558/- as repair charges. The LED after installation was working fine, but after some time of viewing a crack appeared from the black point on screen and started growing on whole screen due to sound vibration of speaker splitting it into half diagonally.
We immediately informed the technician who had come for repair about the condition of the television but he told that now nothing can be done and screen needs to be replaced at your cost. We interpreted that the block spot appeared due to mishandling of the LED TV during transit or during repair the screen got cracked and that is why black spot started appearing on the screen.
I raised the complaint with the company thru their online app explaining the whole situation to their customer representative & escalation team several times but they are not providing any resolution for the same. Every time they promise for providing a resolution and wait for the call but no reply comes.
Almost 1.5 months are gone without any resolution from the company’s side except false promises. My complaint is registered with reference no. UC0589607BF with them. Case open from 3rd July 2021.
