I’m a ICICI credit card holder for quite sometime now and have been paying all my credit card dues within the last date of payment. However last month (Due date 11 Jan, statement dated 22nd Dec) on my bill of Rs. 54,740.68, I paid back the amount in multiple installments. There was a shortfall of Rs. 5056.78 from the total due amount.
In this month’s statement, I’m surprised to see an interest of Rs. 2102.93 + GST has been charged on the total amount and not just the outstanding amount. This is ridiculous, to say the least. All the other major banks charge interest only on the outstanding amount.
Furthermore, an ‘Auto debit return fee’ of Rs. 1094.81 + GST has been charged – for not maintaining the minimum due amount in the account. This shocks me even more since I had I had already paid an amount which was much higher than the minimum amount due (which was Rs. 9,790).
I had registered a complaint with ICICI (SR524938225) on 4th Feb and also wrote to the customer care on 5th Feb but to no avail.
I request the forum to take an appropriate action so that credit card companies don’t take an unfair advantage of honest, taxpaying individuals.

This is Murugan my ICICI card holder ending No.2007, I saw my last month statement and debited for Rs.100/- for Fee levied for cash payment for Feb Month outstanding payment, The monthly statement properly not reach to me through mail also (Already escalated to customer care on this) due to this communication gab unwanted depression on that time and cash deposited in to ICICI Bank for last minutes on the day.
This statement error purely for ICICI team communication error, I am not responsible for this charges, so Kindly request you to wavier the Fee levied for cash payment + tax and update the status.
We heard ICICI Bank regularly debit the unwanted charges from customer account. Request to Authority for quick action.
