I booked a Uber Go cab for Rs 99 from my home to office on 17th-April-2018. Distance from my home to office is approx 3.5 Km. When I reached office, driver asked me to pay Rs 232 for the ride. After arguing for sometime with driver, I had to pay 232 rupees to him as Uber app was now showing fare as 232. Then I raised a request on Uber app for refund of extra money which was charged to me. After sending multiple reminders, I have got response from Uber saying that “Upon reviewing your trip, we can see that route taken was different from GPS suggested one. Hence, you have been charged more than fare displayed in advance”. I really dont know why rider should be charged penalty or extra money for taking incorrect route. It is responsibility of driver to take the suggested route as I never asked him to take a different route. Also, Uber did not send me any notification about wrong route is being taken by cab. This is a clear case of cheating by Uber as they are charging extra money to rider when fault is at driver end. Also, I see this is an issue with security of rider in Uber cab. These type of actions from Uber will encourage their drivers to take any route instead of GPS suggested one.
2) Apart from above mentioned issue, Uber has put my Rs350 on hold on paytm and I am not getting any response from them after sending multiple reminders.
Need your help to get refund for my money.
