On 27 December 2017 I purchased five lottery tickets of Punjab State Lottery X-Mas Super Bumper, the draw date of which being 27/12/2017. Cost of tickets being Rs.20/- each. I purchased the tickets from one lottery seller at Howrah Railway station at Platform number 11. He furnished his name as Bxxxxl Sxxxxa and provided his mobile number as 9xxxxxxxx8. On 31st December 2017, the lottery seller approached my home and showed me the result as appearing in Lottery Sambad wherein my ticket bearing number “Axxxx2” has bagged Fourth Prize of Rs.10,00,000/- (Rupees Ten Lakhs only). He narrated me the process to claim the prize. Then he collected Rs.6,075/- from me stating that three claim forms of Rs.2,021/- each needed to be purchased. On that same day he was moving to Punjab to bring the form and he will contact me after three days. On good faith I handed him the money. After three days I have been contacting him over mobile but he has switched off his mobile. On the reverse of the lottery ticket it is mentioned “The legal jurisdiction of this lottery shall be at Itanagar, Punjab State”. I have searched over internet but there is no place as Itanagar in Punjab. There is no any address mentioned on the reverse of the lottery ticket to claim the prize. Now I think this lottery ticket to be a fake one. This should be stopped immediately so that public are not duped of such scams and fake organisers should not mint crores of rupees.
