The Flight Was Cancelled Due To National Lockdown. Despite Having Purchased ‘Cancellation Protection’ From Goibibo, They Refused To Refund Stating The Flight Company (GoAir) Was Not Refunding The INR2100 Paid As Flight Cost. I Went Directly To GoAir Who Processed Their Refund To Goibibo.
Goibibo Refused To Pass That Refund On To Me In Actual Money. Instead Of Reversing The INR2724 Transaction, They Have Put 1700 Points In GoCash In My Account On Their Website.
They Have Taken Out INR500 As MMT Transaction Fee, INR398 As Cancellation Protection And Also The Goibibo Convenience Fee. They Claimed In July That Cancellation Protection Had Been Rendered Invalid Due To Lockdown, How Is It Valid Only When It Is Profitable For Them? And Why Am I Paying For A Transaction Fee That Isn’t Showing Up In GoAir’s Refund Bill? It Seems To Me That The Transaction Fee, Like Goibibo’s Convenience Fee Are Charged By Goibibo For Doing Absolutely Nothing.
I Haven’t Even Received The Remaining As Cash As It Remains On Their Website. They Have Taken My Money And Given Back Nothing. They Say I Can Use The 1700 Points Before They Expire To Purchase Another Flight Ticket Via Goibibo Instead, Thus Making Them More Money In Convenience Fee And Whatnot.
I Wanted My Full INR2724 Refunded To My Bank Account. I Specifically Asked Them For This In Multiple Email And Phone Conversations. They Disconnected And Then Did As They Pleased.
