I took a Uberpool trip today morning at 8:51AM from Kalikapur to Minto Park. I selected the card payment option while booking the cab. I was displayed a charge of ?199.53 which I was ok with. While I was dropped off at Minto Park, the driver told me that I have ma pay ?108 in cash. He even showed me the screen on his app. I got confused if I had selected cash payment method which I never do. However, since there were co-passengers in the cab and I was also late for office, I paid the cash amount and left. Later I lodged the compliant for refund through Uber app but they responded on email that they cannot refund the money.
In my app, I can see the name of the driver is Lalan, the vehicle is Tata Manza. Since Uber has a postpaid model, if now I am trying to book a new trip, it is asking me to pay outstanding amount of ?199.53/-. I am not going to pay the amount until and unless I get the refund of cash payment.
I want to lodge the complaint for refund of ?108/- and also want compensation for the inconvenience caused to me.
