Extra charges collected by Uber driver by taking a long route

Uber moto ride had shown an upfront price of 60. Uber charged 240 in the cash trip. When I asked for clarification, they said u followed the different route. Driver took me through the different route,. When I asked for refund, the company denied to return the money. Uber has now started looting money through surge pricing
