We have booked a return flight ticket from Paris to Goa on 14th May 2019, ticket details as follows:
Travelling on 25/07.19 , depart – Paris 14.00.
we booked this flight on 14th may , amounting to Rs. 68,816/- . we got an instant confirmation email fro goibibo and money was also deducted from my bank account. we were told not to re-book the tickets again. as we was suppose to depart from Goa to Italy on 27 june 2019 (for europe tour) and it requires approx. 20 to 25 days for visa approval we booked the tickets well in advance and also the fares was low that time. we submitted the tickets along with other relevant documents to the visa authorities.
on May 27th we got a message from go ibibo saying that our tickets has been cancelled and refund has been initiated. we immediately contacted go ibibo that we have already submitted the tickets to visa authorities and now our visa may get cancelled if they check that our tickets are cancelled. we explained them that we have already made paid hotel and train travel bookings worth 1.5 lacs which we will loose if our visa gets cancelled .
after continuously following up with go-ibibo customer care people , they finally admitted that there was some technical mistake from their side and hence our booking got cancelled after 14 days and there was no prior communication with this regard from them otherwise we would have got sufficient time to re book the tickets and submit to visa office . we tried to convince them to not initiate our refund and to confirm the same tickets we have actually booked so that it matches with our travel itinerary , but they refuse to do so and told us to re book the tickets with much inflated prices.
Now our hard earned money lies at stake because of this technical mistake from goibibo people and they could not also rectify it soon. In case we try to book the tickets again , we have to pay for the fares price hike for no mistake of ours.
I request you to please take strict action against this company for wasting our time , money and mentally harassing us. they should be hold liable if we loose the money and also if we have to book fresh tickets then they should make it available at same prices of the date when we have actually booked it and not the inflated one
