20 June 2019: I claimed 1999 Myntra Insider points to get a Gift Voucher worth Rs. 1000. I promptly received an email confirmation about the same.
21 June 2019: I tried to apply the gift voucher code on the Myntra website, however, I kept receiving an error message as follows: “Gift Card has already been added to user a*y*m*r*7@gmail.com.”
23 June 2019: I raised a complaint through the Myntra website and an Incident number was generated – “IN19062103594202543208”. No assistance was provided through that incident.
28 June 2019: I called up the Myntra customer care team and spoke to a person named Mxxxh. After talking to him for about 30 minutes, he confirmed that this is a rare “Technical” issue on Myntra’s part wherein one unique gift voucher code has been generated to two different customers. He confirmed that this is not a fraudulent case and a person from Tripura who also happens to be a regular customer enchased his Insider points and received the same gift voucher code as I had received. He also provided to me the details of the customer from Tripura – ACY HMER (9xxxxxx0). Manish assured me that I would receive a call back within 24 hours from a case manager and I would be provided with a new code. He took upon himself to explain the scenario to his bosses and the technical team as well.
3 July 2019: I didn’t hear anything back from Manish so I lodged a complaint on Myntra’s Facebook page. They promised to reach me within 24 hours but no resolution till date.
