I upgraded my Airtel HD+ Setup Box, to Android setup box after i got a call from the airtel customer care stating that i will get 4K clarity. I got lured into it as my television is Sony 4K Gold 55inches and thought that i will get 4K clarity. Forget about 4K clarity, iam not even getting the previous HD+ clarity. I made numerous complaints to the customer care of airtel but they did not to any justice to me, so I had to continue with the android setup box. The reason i had to continue was, i already paid 5,500/- for the connection which was on offer for one year period of time.
Now after exactly 3 months time, the so called android box is not working properly. The moment i switch on the television, it say, airtel gigital TV starting , please wait…………………and you sit there, nothing comes, the TV goes blank, no error code nothing.
After calling to the customer care, i got transferred to the Sr. executive or Sr.Supervisor, sitting in Punjab, who states that, we will have to replace another repaired setup box, instead of a new one which i asked for. The repaired one is under waranty for 6 months, still i wanted a new one as my newly installed android airtel setup box is only 3 months old.
Now , my question is, do we have to pay 500/-+150/-(installation fee), every time the setup box goes off, if so, why should we when the setup box, which i bought is not even 3 months old, for which i demand to get a new setup box, not a repaired 2nd hand one.
