Regarding bills raised by Airtel after discontinuation of service

I purchased airtel wireless broadband few months back but due to poor performance and range issues, I decided to discontinue the service in just 6 days. I went to 2 airtel shops and informed them about terminating my connection and I also informed them that I wont be liable to pay any bill which would be generated. Also called airtel customer care 2 times to confirmed that I don’t wish to continue their service. In spite of so many intimations given my internet connection was not disconnected and now they have been sending me airtel bills and calling me for paying the bills. I already paid then 1500 INR for the router which is not at performing as per my expectations.
