I have gone through a home -based job at quicker.com and had applied for the same. The company name is Unitec Solutions with it’s registered office at Gujarat. They had asked me to pay a sum of 400 rupees as registration fees.It was a data entry job. I was asked to sign an agreement which stated that if I fail to submit my work within the stipulated time I would have to pay a sum of 10000 rupees. I could not finish the work so I paid the 10000rs on the date they said. They send me a NOC after receiving the amount and said everything was cleared . But on 28.12.2019 a call came from a lawyer on behalf of the company stating to pay a sum of 12500. They demanded the amount stating that I have not cancelled the agreement and I was asked to pay the amount within a short span of time.(within 3 hours). I arranged the amount and paid them as they threatened me of facing dire consequences and said that if I pay the amount they will not issue any legal notice against my name and I have to pay not a single amount thereafter.But after that on the same date they again demanded another 12500 in order to generate an otp and threatened me stating that otherwise a legal notice would be sent against my name in 2-3 business days to my address. I have googled and learned that Unitec Solutions is a fake company doing the same to many innocent people.I am a victim of monetary fraud and I need urgent help of Indian Consumer Forum in order to resolve the matter and get me out of the problem as I am a layman in this matter. The phone nos are stated below from which I am getting continuous threats that if I dont pay they will send me a legal notice and will drag me to court.
The person called me and threatened me today saying that a legal notice would come in my name in a day or two. I hope my problem would be seen and taken care of.
