Vodafone Telecom prepaid recharge complaint

On 27th March, I’d recharged my prepaid Vodafone number with RS.199 unlimited local, STD, roaming calls with 100 free SMS per day and fixed data quota per day. On 30th March suddenly my balance dipped to negative integer RS. -2.04 , having made no special calls or SMS. The prepaid balance info number *111# could not provide any information on last 3 calls and prepaid sms deduction info number *111*2*3# kept saying ‘data not found’ when asked for last 3 deductions.

I’d mailed Vodafone care and Vodafone appellate authority that day with the details that day itself but 5 days post that there is still no resolution, response mail or call back.

I had to recharge my balance with full prepaid talk time of RS.55 on 31st March as I was continuously getting ‘insufficient balance’ msg every time I tried dialling. Even after full talk time recharge on the prepaid number this time, there was no upgradation in my balance. I’m attaching a screenshot of the same info received via SMS after recharge.

I wrote to them again, this time including the nodal officer and now it’s been 4 days, no response, call, mail back or resolution has been offered.

Yesterday, on 3rd April, I’d sent a final mail asking for a resolution within 24 hours which too has not been responded to with any resolution. I only keep getting their auto generated acknowledgement mails which promise a response in 24 hours.

I’ve now shelled out RS. 254 and my balance is still in negative. No response or resolution has been offered from Vodafone. I’m not even able to call their toll free number without balance on my phone.

Vodafone has done this before, charging money and then denying services under the excuse of technical problems in the area of the city.

Vodafone Lucknow, under UP East needs to be penalized legally for their lack of redressal and recharge fraud.
