I have been using ICICI credit card for more than a year now & not a defaulter. without exceeding the payment due date I have always paid the entire amount that was billed for the respective month. For your records I have been using Standard Chartered for the payment transaction usually on the exact due date & this practice I follow for all the credit cards I am currently holding (ICICI/Non-ICICI). My ICICI payment due date is usually 2nd/3rd of the month & as I get my salary on first working day of the month hence I prefer ICICI CC over others.
In this month’s statement they have charged me late fees along with Interest & GST for which I have already informed that I have not paid the bill late.
On top of this just couple of days after my due date (2nd Nov) I received a call from ICICI customer care asking about the payment details. That time also I told them the payment was done by Stan C on time as usual. I did my job as a responsible customer.Still on November’s statement (due date 3rd Dec) they charged the amount saying on 5th Nov 2017 the transaction reflected on their account.
Non other banks have done this in past. Banks sell credit cards without even holding any account with them & transaction through others for payments are very usual.

Hi,
I am also facing similar issue, my previous payment is on the due date and that can be seen in my current statement. For that I was charged late payment fees and GST. This has happened second time in a row. Last time it got reversed when I called customer care but this time the whole team said that it’s not possible from their end. It is not a good customer experience to call customer care every month. A suggestion for ICICI bank is that- from user profiling icici can categorize it’s credit card customer who have icici bank account and who do not have icici bank account and based on that show different due dates that could be 3 days prior date for not having icici bank accounts.
